Did you know that every night there are around 46,000 homeless women? Shocking isn’t it? Absolutely anybody can experience domestic violence and homelessness and existing services cannot meet demand. For every inquiry we receive for a bed in one of our shelters, 2 additional women are turned away.
Without the safety and services offered by shelter accommodation often a woman may stay in an unsafe situation, as understandably she doesn’t want to leave her children behind. This need exists in all communities and the next woman who needs help could so easily be your friend, your work colleague, your sister…
