Home Sweet 2019

Home Sweet 2019 Official Beneficiary

Link Housing launched Home Sweet in 2017 to address the growing issue of youth homelessness in Sydney. The fundraising sleep over event, raised $120,000 for The Burdekin Association, who provide housing, support and hope to homeless youth. Find out more about Home Sweet 2017 here.

This year, with your help, we hope to raise even more to not only support youth in the area, but also women escaping domestic violence and others in the community who are at risk of homelessness. Read about the beneficiaries.

Donate, support a “sleepee” or sleep over yourself at Freshwater Surf Club on 20th September 2019, from 6pm to raise money for this valuable cause.

Annabelle Daniel, CEO

Hidden homelessness is an insidious and destructive problem. Whether on the streets, in their cars, couches, trains – an increasing number of people in our community are sleeping rough or are at risk of homelessness. More than one in two women who seek safe accommodation are turned away from services that are full. 75% of women’s homelessness is caused by domestic and family violence.
