A special way to honour a loved one when they pass away is by offering friends and family the opportunity to make an In Memoriam donation to celebrate and commemorate their life, instead of sending flowers.
An In Memoriam donation is a wonderful way to remember someone and Women’s Community Shelters (WCS) is extremely grateful to those who choose to ask for charity donations at such a difficult time.
Most funeral directors will help collect donations in lieu of flowers but if you wish to receive In Memoriam donations when you pass away, it may be helpful to inform your friends and family or include instructions in your Will.
If you choose Women’s Community Shelters for your In Memorial donations, an acknowledgement letter will be sent to the family, along with the names of people who made a donation.
Donations can be made on the day of the funeral or an alternative way is to set up an In Memoriam webpage. This way you can simply share the link and ask people to donate online rather than on the day.
The process is extremely simple and can be done via our page here:
Simply add your details and choose Women’s Community Shelters as your charity.
The passing of a loved one is an extremely difficult time and we thank you for supporting the vital work of Women’s Community Shelters. As a charity we rely on such donations and we are extremely grateful for your support.
