Individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations and private and public ancillary funds (PAFs) support Women’s Community Shelters to provide shelters and crisis accommodation to meet the needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable women and children escaping domestic violence and homelessness across NSW.
Our philanthropic partners support a wide range of projects that have a positive and long lasting impact on the lives of shelter women and children as they transition from an unsafe environment, to a new life free from domestic violence.
From early intervention and prevention projects working with local school pupils to inform and educate about domestic violence to building and operating new shelters in areas of need, WCS is able to tailor a support program that meets your philanthropic goals.
WCS provides regular updates to its philanthropic partners on the impact of their grant/donation including:
- Ongoing monitoring of projects to assess and evaluate the impact of your support on the lives of vulnerable women and children
- Reports on the progress of each funded project and our work in general
- Invitations to WCS’s special events
- Recognition in our Annual Report, on the website and profiles in our newsletter – or anonymity if preferred
- Regular WCS newsletters
