FUNDRAISE FOR WOMEN’S COMMUNITY SHELTERS

Are you interested in organising an event to fundraise in your area?

There are a million ways to engage with your community to raise awareness of the issues surrounding female homelessness and to raise funds for shelters.

Gala ball, bike ride, fun run, music concert, trivia quiz, arts and crafts fair, bring and buy sale, film night, fashion show, talent contest, sponsored event at school or work, treasure hunt … the only thing limiting you is your imagination.

For more information or if you require an Authority to Fundraise form register your interest and we can talk you through the next steps and how we can support you in the process.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER?

Our shelters work because of the incredible generosity of our Volunteers. If you have time or talent that you believe could help our shelters, please get in touch. Visit our Shelter page and let them know you would like to join their team.

TIME

If you have time to spare to help at one of our shelters, please get in contact using form opposite.

We are always looking for help with the day to day running of the shelter and with fundraising events.

TREASURE

The needs of Shelters change all the time, but items always welcome are non-perishable foodstuffs, laundry and cleaning products. We also welcome donations of office stationery.

There are always specific items that crop up so please let us know what you have to donate and we can point you in the right direction.

TALENT

If you are a retiree or professional who is willing to offer services pro-bono to one of our shelters, please get in contact.

Alternatively, our HUB in Surry Hills are forming a small team of volunteers who can pick up and drop off donations to various shelter collection points across Sydney and we always have items needing to go up to Forster/Tuncurry. Please note, Women’s Community Shelters is currently only operating in New South Wales, Australia and can only provide volunteering opportunities within the state.
